Obituary of Dian L. Johnson

Dian L. Johnson, 83, of Titusville, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning May 2, 2015 at her home. Dian was born on March 24, 1932 at Farmington Twp., Clarion County, a daughter of the late Wesley and Gertrude Blum Host. She was married to William L. Johnson on July 2, 1955 in Pleasantville. He preceded her in death on Dec. 15, 2007. Dian was a graduate of Farmington High School, class of 1950. She had been employed at GTE Sylvania for over 22 years from where she retired. Dian had attended the Pleasantville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, gardening and the outdoors. She is survived by the following children; Connie Romaniszyn and husband Mark of Titusville, Randy Johnson and wife Tammy of Pleasantville, and Robby Johnson and wife Caryn of Titusville; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two brothers, Jim Host of Pleasantville and Forest Host of Titusville; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Host and a sister, Maribelle Brooks. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and attend the funeral service there on Wednesday at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Jerusalem Corners Cemetery. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to any chapter of the American Cancer Society or to the Venango County Humane Society c/o Donations P.O. Box 1045 Oil City, PA 16301.
