Obituary of Richard Lee Kinnear
Mr. Richard Lee Kinnear, 67, of 81 Bugtown Rd. Titusville, died Saturday May 9, 2015 at 6:10 PM at the Golden Living Center in Oil City.
Richard was born on January 21, 1948 in Titusville to the late Raymond and Violet Ross Kinnear. He married Deanna Barnes on November 16, 1973 in Titusville. She preceded him in death on May 5, 2012.
He attended Titusville schools and was a graduate of Titusville High School.
Richard was a sheet metal worker and was last employed at APW in Erie before his retirement in 2004.
He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He entered the service on April 20, 1965 in Cleveland, OH and was honorably discharged on April 19, 1971 in St. Louis, MO.
Richard was a member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW, the Cleo J. Ross post 368 American Legion, and the Moose Lodge 84.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being outdoors.
Richard is survived by his three children, Tina Knapp of Titusville, Melissa Morse and husband Courtney of Warren and Sharon Brittain of Pleasantville; five grandchildren, Courtney Morse, Jr. and Tiffany Morse of Warren, William Brittain and Tina Brittain of Pleasantville, and Jacob Knapp of Titusville; two great grandchildren, Ethan Wightman and Eoghan McConville; four brothers, Raymond Kinnear and wife Sandy of Grand Valley, Dan Kinnear and wife Barb of Grand Valley, Randy Kinnear of Titusville, Carl Kinnear and wife Jill of Neilltown, and Eric Kinnear of Titusville; one sister Linda Pyle and husband Jerry of Youngsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death two sons in law, Dan Knapp and William Brittain; two brothers David and Russell Kinnear; and one sister Helen Kinnear.
No calling hours will be observed. A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Union Cemetery with Rev. Mark Rusnak, officiating. Full military rites will be observed.
