Obituary of Lawrence A. Jackson

Mr. Lawrence A. Jackson,65, of Titusville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at his residence. Larry was born in Titusville on January 29, 1950 to the late Clyde L. and Madeline Baker Jackson, Sr. He graduated from Titusville High School class of 1968. He was a veteran, having served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He enlisted on June 19, 1968 in Pittsburgh, and was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant on March 22, 1971 at Fort Knox, KY. Larry married Ronda Greer on April 4, 1980 Larry retired from Oil Creek Plastics, after driving tractor trailer there for seventeen years. He was a member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW and the Polish National Alliance. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Ronda; three children, Jevon McCandless and wife Heather of Oil City, Shannon Bickford of Titusville, and Lawrence A. Jackson, Jr. and Tina of Titusville; ten grandchildren, Kayla McCandless, Donald, Ryan, Christopher, and Kayla Bickford, Hanah, Isabelle, and Collin Jackson, Kylie and Emma Wilson; two sisters, Kathleen Muir of Titusville, and Linda Mattison and husband Bern of Titusville; three brothers, Robert Jackson and wife Donna, Dennis “Bill” Jackson and wife Dotty, and Daniel Jackson and wife Cindy, all of Titusville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Clyde L. Jackson, Jr. Friends may attend a memorial service on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Hennes- Garrett Funeral Home, 203 E. Main Street, Titusville, PA 16354. Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Bruce Shorts Post 5958 Scholarship Fund, 206 St. John Street, Titusville, PA 16354.
