Obituary of Helen L. Beeles

Mrs. Helen L. Beeles, 84, of 122 N. Main St. Union City, PA, died Saturday, November 21, 2009 at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie. Mrs. Beeles was born on Nov. 4, 1925 in Pittsburgh. She was raised by her aunt Bertha Rose Doerfler. She was first married to John Kenneth Coates. She later married Frank Beeles who preceded her in death. Mrs. Beeles had been employed for 13 years at GTE Sylvania in Warren, PA. She was a member of St. James Memorial Episcopal Church in Titusville. She had also attended Trinity Memorial Church in Warren while she resided there and attended the Church of the Holy Spirit in Erie while she resided there. Mrs. Beeles had been a volunteer for pre-school children at the former Sunset Heights Pre-school Center in Titusville. She enjoyed playing bingo; bowling; dancing in her earlier years; karaoke and listening to bands; and was an avid NASCAR and Steeler fan. She is survived by seven children; Dale Coates of Kane, Lloyd Coates and his wife Diane of Omaha, NE, Jacqueline Eschenbach of Erie, Helen Mott, Mary Brown and her husband Sam, and Frank Beeles III, all of Oil City, and Linda Lesh and her husband Bob of Titusville; 18 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last survivor of her siblings. No public calling hours will be observed. Friends may attend a memorial service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at St. James Memorial Episcopal Church in Titusville with Fr. William French, officiating. The family asks that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville.
