Obituary of Pauline Marie Zdarko Marsh
Pauline Marie Zdarko Marsh, one of the most kind, loving people anyone could have ever had the pleasure of meeting, passed away on Saturday, May 30th, 2015 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Erie, Pa. She was born in Titusville on April 6th, 1948 as one of seven siblings, Barbara (Zephyr), Mary, Joe, Damien, Bill, and Fred. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy High School and then obtained a secretarial degree from Bryant Stratton Secretarial School in Buffalo NY, and later earned her nursing degree, which she practiced for 24 years. After retiring from the Crawford County Care Center in 2008, she enjoyed life by spending time with her family, friends, and volunteering at the Titusville Hospital. She also enjoyed reading, socializing, shopping, camping, and most of all, caring for others.
Pauline was the loving wife of Calvin J. Marsh, and the mother of two sons, William Marsh of Arizona, Jason Marsh and his wife, Miranda Hartcourt Marsh of Tennessee; as well as two step-sons, Calvin Marsh and his wife Brenda Derby Marsh of Titusville, Scott Marsh and his fiancé Carol Mears of Guys Mills; and step-daughter, Julie Marsh and her fiancé Dan Miller of Garland. She was also the caring grandmother of six: Calvin, Austyn, Alex, Quinn, Ian, and Eli. She loved and adored 18 nieces and nephews, in addition to countless cousins and extended family. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary Ruppersberg Zdarko Crone and Joseph Zdarko; step-father, Stanley (Lefty) Crone; sister, Mary Catherine Zdarko Miller; sister-in-law, Julie Carone Zdarko.
Friends may call at the Hennes-Garrett Funeral Home, 203 E. Main St. Titusville, PA 16354 on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 with a funeral service to follow conducted by Rev. William Hopkins, pastor of the Oil City Church of the Nazarene, officiating.
