Obituary of Robert E. Campbell
Mr. Robert E. Campbell, 73, of 327 E. Elm Street Titusville, died unexpectedly Thursday evening October 28, 2010 at his residence.
Mr. Campbell was born on September 3, 1937 in Titusville, a son of the late Hillis and Mary Williamson Campbell. He was married to Barbara Burke who preceded him in death on May 25, 2010. He was previously married to Donna Myers.
Mr. Campbell was a veteran having served in the US Army, Air Force, and Navy from which he retired in 1974. He served during both the Korean War and Vietnam Conflict.
Following his retirement from the armed forces, he returned to Titusville where he became employed at the former Cytemp Speciatly Steel Corp. He worked there in the cold roll mill until his retirement.
Mr. Campbell was a member of the Bruce Shorts Post No. 5958 VFW; a former member of the Cleo J. Ross Post No. 368 American Legion, and the BPO Elks No. 264. He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, the outdoors and cooking.
He is survived by two children, Bonnie Poux and her husband Noel of Whitefish, Montana and William Campbell and his wife Donna of St. Mary’s, GA; three step children, Raymond Barr of Arizona, Rebecca Logsdon of Connecticut, and Deedrah Ensle and her husband John of Titusville; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; and his former wife, Donna Myers Dezenski of Detroit, Mich.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Chuck Campbell and a brother, Donald Campbell.
No public calling hours will be observed. A graveside service with full military honors will be conducted for the family at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens in Cranberry.
