Obituary of Joshua Michael Beattie

Joshua Michael Beattie, 22, of 44799 Buells Corners Rd. Spartansburg, died Sunday morning November 22, 2009 from injuries received in a one vehicle accident. Joshua was born on July 18, 1987 at Union City, PA, a son of Dennis Beattie and Tammy Elliott Morris. He was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 2006. He was also a graduate of Great Lakes Institute of Technology where he earned his certified pharmacy technician degree. He had been employed for over a year at the Titusville Rite Aid as a pharmacy technician. Joshua enjoyed playing his guitar and video games. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed shooting hoops. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Tammy and Ed Morris of Spartansburg; his father, Dennis Beattie of Spartansburg; his maternal grandparents, David and Patricia Shellito of Franklin; his paternal grandmother, Marise White of Corry; three brothers, Justin Beattie, Ronald Morris and his wife Heather, all of Spartansburg, and Brian Morris and his wife Johanna of Corry; a niece, Hailey Morris; two nephews, Caleb and Carter Morris; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Wednesday from noon to 2:00 PM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Pastor Douglas McCray of the Victory Harvest Fellowship Church in Corry, officiating.
