Obituary of Hazel L. Kerr
Hazel L. “Rusty” Kerr, 91, of Titusville, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015 at the Golden Living Center Titusville.
Hazel was born in Centerville on July 1, 1923 to the late Garrett C. and Maude Fenton Kerr.
She attended the Hummer School in Rome Township for eight years and graduated from Colestock High School in 1940.
Hazel worked at Loblaw’s in Titusville from 1947 to 1965. Then later at Riverside from 1967 until her retirement in 1984.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed knitting.
Hazel is survived by nieces, Hazel Kerr and husband Richard of Grand Valley and Sandy Bickel and husband Gerald of Reno; great niece, Mary Beth Steffens and husband Charles of Youngsville; great-great nieces, Elizabeth, Emily, and Ember; close friend, Nancy Drusko of Titusville; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by nine siblings, Lela Kunz, Ina Sherlock, Florence Giborn, Beulah Phillis, Andrew Kerr, Garrett Kerr, Clarence Kerr, Howard Kerr, and Elmer Kerr.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington Street, Titusville, PA 16354, on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 3 to 4 PM, at which time the funeral service will be conducted by great nephew in law, Charles Steffens.
Interment in is Union Cemetery.
