Obituary of John Fink
John “Paul” Fink, 81, of State Highway 89, Centerville, went to be with the Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Paul was born in Centerville on August 15, 1933 to the late John Palmer and Dorothy Henton Fink.
He married Kathryn “Kay” Vroman on September 11, 1954 in Centerville.
Paul retired from General Electric in Erie in 1995, after thirty – three years of employment.
He attended Rometown Community Church.
Paul was a member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW.
He enjoyed hunting, playing cards, building and fixing things, welding, family gatherings, and vacationing to the beach at Topsail Island, NC.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Kay; son, John J. Fink and wife Cheri of Centerville; two daughters, Cindy Harger and husband Tim of Centerville, and Diane Fink of Philadelphia; five grandchildren, Brandon Harger and wife Sharna, Maria Schweitzer and husband Eric, Megan Sagan and husband Neal, Lindsay Fink, and John M. Fink; eleven great grandchildren, Abigail, Lydia, Rebekah, Esther, Sarah, Uriah, Gabriel, Nathanael, Daniel, Grace, and Malachi; two brothers, Lloyd Fink and wife Opal of Bangor, PA, and George Fink and wife Barb of Intercession City, FL; two sisters, Sharon Balkom and Lisa Davis and husband Mike both of St. Cloud, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Lyndell Fink.
Friends may call at the Rometown Community Church, 44364 Harrison Road, Spartansburg, PA 16434, on Sunday, July 26, from 5 to 8 PM, and Monday 10 to 11 AM with the funeral service to follow, officiated by Pastor Tim Harger.
Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
