Obituary of Daniel Anthony

Daniel “Joe” Anthony, 45, of 13269 Windfall Rd. Titusville, died unexpectedly Friday morning November 27, 2009 at his residence. He was born on June 5, 1964 in Titusville, a son of the late Reuben and Lila Mae Barnes Anthony. Joe attended the Wattsburg School. He was a truck driver most of his life recently working for Smith’s Trucking of Roaring Springs, PA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He is survived by a daughter, Jessica Anthony of Titusville; two step-sons, Bobby Sosnowski of Springfield, VA and Ryan Sosnowski of Titusville; a step-daughter, Stacey Walters and her husband Brian of Pleasantville; a granddaughter, Brooke Walters; three brothers, James Anthony of Jacksonville, FLA, Gene Anthony and his wife Michele of Cambridge Springs, and Hugh Anthony and his wife Elizabeth of Erie; a sister, Diane Gavitt and her husband Steven of Zephyr Hills, FLA; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was recently preceded in death by his companion Lynda J. Van Valkenberg on Nov. 11, 2009. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home on Monday from 7 to 9 PM and attend the funeral service there on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with Rev. William Blair, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating.
