Obituary of Elizabeth A. Adams

Mrs. Elizabeth “Lizzy” A. Adams, 67, of 5286 Riesling Ridge Rd., Girard, died Wednesday August 19, 2015 at UPMC Hamot in Erie. Elizabeth was born on April 26, 1948 in Titusville to the late Michael and Marilyn Miller Savitz. She married Paul Adams on April 9, 1994 in Corry. She was a graduate of Youngsville High School class of 1966. She attended Jamestown Community College for several semesters. Lizzy worked as an inspector for Associated Spring in Corry for many years. She retired in 2005. She loved quilting, working cryptogram puzzles, reading and spending time with friends and family. She especially loved being with her dog “Pappy”. Lizzy is survived by her husband Paul of Girard; a daughter Michelle Flowers of Warren; a son Robert Johnson and companion Cherry Moffitt of Corry; four grandchildren, Courtney Wynn, Carley Flowers, and Casey Flowers of Tennessee, and Michael Johnson of Ft. Drum, NY; two brothers, Michael Savitz, Jr. and wife Brenda of Grand Valley, and George Savitz and wife Michelle of Grand Valley; one sister Charlene Berry of Titusville; a father in law John Adams of Youngsville; two brothers in law, John M. Adams and wife Mary of Hampton, VA, and John E. Adams III and wife Shiushia of Newport News, VA; one sister in law Michelle Thomas and husband Dan of Union City; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc. 303 N. Washington St. on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A mass of Christian burial will be conducted on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Titus Church with Fr. Walter E. Packard, pastor of the Catholic Community of Titusville, officiating. Inurnment will be at Sanford Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society 2115 W. 38th St. Erie, PA 16508.
