Obituary of Barbara A. Schnell

Barbara A. Schnell, 83, formerly of Titusville, passed away Sunday evening August 30, 2015 at the Park Avenue Rehab and Nursing Center in Meadville. Barbara was born on March 14, 1932 at Oil City, a daughter of the late Karl and Miriam McIntosh Schnell. She was a graduate of Townville High School, class of 1950. She had been employed at the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville in the housekeeping department for 25 years. She had also cleaned offices for Attorneys Kookogey and Jack in Titusville. Barbara was a member of the First Presbyterian Church for 63 years. She sang in the church choir, attended Sunday school class and the Ladies Bible group. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, and listening to music. She visited Benson Memorial Library almost daily. She is survived by a sister, Mary Fife and husband Joseph of Townville; a niece, Cheryl Sullivan Warner and her husband Paul, and their daughter Lisa of Pleasantville; nephews, Richard Sullivan and wife Karen and their sons, Justin Sullivan and his companion Jessy, and Christopher Sullivan, all of Townville, Steven Sullivan and his children, Meghan and her husband Matthew, and Ryan, all of Virginia; David Sullivan and step-son Sebastian of Daytona Beach, FL, Jay Sullivan and wife Brenda and their sons Tyler and Michael of DeLand, FL; great great nieces Lydia, Lila, and Kaylin; and a great great nephew Henry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Conrad Schnell; and a niece Dawn Sullivan. No public calling hours will be observed. A private funeral service for the family will be conducted at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home with Mrs. Jacqueline Wagner officiating. Interment will be in Brandon Cemetery in Seneca.
