Obituary of Clifford W. Stephens

Clifford W. Stephens, 80, of 18751 Cussawago Rd. Meadville, passed away Tuesday afternoon September 1, 2015 at Wesbury United Methodist Community in Meadville. Mr. Stephens was born on June 26, 1935 at Titusville, PA, a son of the late George and Bertha Eakin Stephens. He was a veteran having served in the US Air Force. He entered the service on Aug. 29, 1952 at Pittsburgh, PA and was honorably discharged on Dec. 3, 1953 at Mitchell AFB in New York. Mr. Stephens enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, the outdoors and appliance repairs. He is survived by his companion, Shirley Collins of Meadville; the following children; James Stephens and companion Debbie of Tryonville, Robert Stephens and wife Carman of Chapel Hill, NC, Linda Bullock and Brian Stephens, both of Tryonville; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters, Dixie Edwards of Hydetown and Henrietta Williams of State College; three brothers, Willis Stephens and wife Sue of Altoona, George Holtz of Titusville, and George Stephens of Albuquerque, NM; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Holtz and Darrell Stephens; and three sisters, Alberta Rice, Elaine Davenport, and Lena Sult. No public calling hours or funeral service will be observed. Inurnment will be in Rockland Cemetery. The family asks that memorials be made to Hospice of Crawford County 406 W. Oak St. Titusville, PA 16354 or to any Veterans Administration Hospital.
