Obituary of Barbara A. Rogers
Barbara Ann Rogers, 81, of Titusville, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2015, at the Titusville Area Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Barbara was born in Oil City on December 3, 1933 to the late Richard C. and Lillian V. Hawk Rogers.
She graduated from Colestock High School in 1951.
Barbara worked as a waitress at several local businesses, and was last employed at Gina’s Restaurant.
She was a member of the Titusville American Legion Auxillary Post #368. She loved to gamble, which included playing poker on her computer, going to the casino, scratching tickets, and playing cards. She loved watching the hummingbirds at her home. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
Barbara is survived by six children, Sherry Beach and companion Keith Gomez of Titusville, Kathy Boyle and husband Gary of Guys Mills, Brenda Lauer of Pembroke Pines, FL, Greg Johnson of Anchorage, AK, Bob Fulmer of Pittsburgh, and Cindy Dougherty of Titusville; a son in law, Richard Beach, Jr. of Titusville; eight grandchildren, Kim Stover and husband Shawn of Wexford, Jayme Strauss of Pembroke Pines, FL, Josh Johnson, Sr. and wife Alisha of Titusville, Stephanie Beach of Meadville, Matthew Beach and wife Sabrina of Fruita, CO, Seth, Michael, and Candalyn Johnson of Anchorage, AK; eight great grandchildren, Ivy Blanchard, Joshua Jr. and Greyson Johnson, Tyler Frankenberger, Taylor and Alaina Stover, and Donovan and Mayson Strauss; and a great granddaughter due in January; an uncle, George Hawk of Franklin; and a special niece and nephew, Lisa and Tony Rose.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Devon Patrick Beach; brother, Roger H. Rogers; and son in law, Paul Lauer.
Family and friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington Street, Titusville, PA 16354, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, with the service on Thursday at 11 AM with Pastor Robert Hawk officiating. Interment is in Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to funeral home in care of the family.
