Obituary of Donna Jean Gardner

Donna Jean Gardner, 80, formerly of Weeki Wachee, FL, and currently a resident of Carriage Court in New Castle, PA, went to be with her Lord Wednesday morning October 14, 2015. Donna was born on June 26, 1935 at Youngstown, OH, a daughter of the late John and Dorothy Dugas Pollock. She was married to James Gardner who preceded her in death. She was previously married to Richard A. Fronius who also preceded her in death. Donna was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Youngstown, OH. She had held many secretarial positions throughout her working career and was last employed at the Citrus County Library System in Florida from where she retired in 2001. Donna enjoyed writing and was the former editor of the Heather Property Owners Association Newsletter in Weeki Wachee, FL. She loved baking, recipes, and reading. She was known for her friendliness, her smile, and her ability to make others feel comfortable in any situation. She is survived by her companion of 16 years, Samuel Wilson of Weeki Wachee, FL; three children, Theresa Ruskauff and husband Regis of Pittsburgh, Wendy Finlen and husband James of Youngstown, OH, and John Fronius and wife Susan of Tualatin, OR; seven grandchildren, Julia, Gabriel, Andrew, Colleen, Charles, T.J., and Carli; and three great grandchildren, Annabelle, Connor, and Grace. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Delrose Braid and Jacqueline O’Hara. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, PA on Friday, October 16th from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Pastor Ed Gresick of the Titusville First United Methodist Church, officiating. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Jameson Hospice of Lawrence County 1211 Wilmington Ave. New Castle, PA 16105.
