Obituary of Avonelle B. Mosher
Mrs. Avonelle “Abby” B. Mosher, 80, formerly of Freemont St. in Townville, died Thursday October 15, 2015 at 8:40PM at the Crawford County Care Home.
Avonelle was born on September 21, 1935 in Tidioute to the late Alfred and Kathryn Flasher VanGuilder. She married Alfred “Bud” Roggenkamp in 1953. She married Leonard Mosher in 1991 in Townville.
She was a graduate of Titusville High School.
Abby worked as a secretary for Mercer Spring and Wire in Townville until her retirement. She then worked at Valesky’s Meat Market in Meadville.
She was a member of the Townville Methodist Church.
Abby enjoyed working in her flower beds, wood working, dancing, her beauty shop that she ran out of her house and having family reunions at camp. She loved being with her beautiful friends and being around her family.
She is survived by her husband Leonard of Townville; one daughter Kathryn Steadman and husband Bruce of Centerville; one son Alfred Roggenkamp and wife Wanda of Edinboro; one step daughter Sue Lenansky of West Hickory; two granddaughters, Loma Roggenkamp and Echo Roggenkamp of Ankeny, IA; two step granddaughters, Jennifer Basemore and husband Sean of Virginia and Taushia Haist and husband Craig of North Carolina; one sister Verna Wonderling and husband Dick of Seneca; and one brother Alfred VanGuilder and wife Carol of Titusville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would also like to express its gratitude to the staff at the Crawford County Care Home for the wonderful care they took of Abby.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc. 303 N. Washington St. on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and attend a funeral there on Wednesday at 11 AM with Rev. Marshall Lillie, officiating.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery.
