Obituary of Edward T. Rosman
Edward T. “Ed” Rosman, 93, of 35324 Jay Rd. Titusville, passed away Thursday evening November 5, 2015 at his residence.
Ed was born on August 24, 1922, at Sykesville, PA, a son of the late George and Dora Bias Rosman. He married Janet Mackenzie on Oct. 24, 1948, in Titusville. Mrs. Rosman preceded him in death on March 29, 1992.
Ed was a veteran having served in the US Army during World War II.
He was a press foreman for over thirty years at the former Cyclops Specialty Steel Corp. in Titusville from where he retired.
Ed was a member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW; the Cleo J. Ross Post 368 American Legion; and of the B.P.O. Elks No. 264.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising rabbits and woodworking. He also enjoyed his cats, dogs, and horses. Ed also loved working as a cowboy in Washington state when he was a younger man.
He is survived by three daughters, Carol Smith of Florida, Sharon Williams and husband Lanny of Titusville, and Joan Jones and husband Jeffrey of Titusville; his companion of 18 years, Lucia Foley of Wilmington, DE; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a brother, Alex Rosman of Barstow, CA; and numerous niece and nephews.
Ed was preceded in death by a daughter, Marsha Barajas; 8 brothers; and 2 sisters.
A memorial service will be celebrated for family and friends on Monday at 11:00 AM from the Chapmanville Community Church with Rev. Glen VanCise, officiating. Full military rites will also be observed.
