On Christmas Eve I lost one of the greatest men I've ever known. He taught me about hard work, family values and love for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates. He didn't drive a fancy car or wear a suit and tie to work. He didn't have a degree to hang on the wall. We weren't wealthy but I never went without. He went to work at the PPG factory everyday with his lunch box and thermos of coffee. I don't remember him ever missing a day of work. I always knew no matter how old I was or what I was going through, my Grand dad would always be there for me and I always had a home to go to. Every man I've ever met I've compared to my Grandpa and nobody will ever be even half the man he was.
May he rest in peace.
