Condolences
I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Eddy's passing. She was a very kind and special person to me. I was best friends with her daughter Marsha for many years. I always enjoyed talking to her at their home in Titusville, PA when I was a teenager and even later when I was in college. When I needed a place to go or a ride to the airport, she was there for me. I know she will be missed. Her love will shine for many years through her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Words cannot express my heartfelt sympathies for the loss of this lady.Be at peace, Mildred!
I am very sad to hear about the passing of Mrs. Eddy. She was my grandparents' neighbor (Ollie and Vera Stoke) and my neighbor as well when I was young. She was so kind to me and one thing I remember in particular is her love of reading. She shared some of her books with me when I was just a kid! My grandmother loved her very much. Mrs. Eddy had a wonderful life and I know that she left a legacy of love.

The Bible tells us that there is "a time for weeping and a time for laughter," and certainly Mildred must have wept her share of tears. But what immediately comes to mind when I think of her is her laughter -- spontaneous, joyful, contagious laughter. She laughed and she taught other people how to laugh; and as a consequence time spent in her presence was always brighter and cheerier than it might otherwise have been. In this age when our politics as well as our community, national, and global environment has become so heavy, how we need more people, like Mildred, who regularly count their blessings and face even life's daunting challenges with a smile. We all are happier people for having known her, and I am sure that the Almighty himself must be grateful for the sense of humor Mildred has brought to the Kingdom of Heaven. "Him serve with mirth, His praise forthtell," says the hymn writer. Mildred did it beautifully, magnificently well!
Sending our deepest sympathies and love to all.
