Condolences
I did not know Jesse well I worked with him as a Realtor while he lived in Greeneville, TN. I do remember he touched my heart with his compassion and a huge hug when I was going through a very emotionally hard time. I lost both of my parents within 11 months of each other in the late 90's. A couple of days after loosing my second parent I was back in the office and Jesse came into work and without a word just gave me the warmest bear hug and then just turned around and walked away. Jesse was a man of few words, but his action that day spoke volumes. I will remember his blessing as long as I live. I am so sorry for your loss.
I worked for Jessie at Doehler Jarvis. I was newly married with a newborn and wanted to finish up my certification to teach. I obviously had to work with my family obligations and couldn’t fit the school hours to student teach around our shifts at work. Jessie let me work a special overlapping shift so I could work and student teach. I taught for 28 years in Greeneville, retired, and am now teaching in Hilton Head SC. None of this would have been possible without Jessie’s help. He trully changed mine and my family’s life. RIP Jessie. You will be remembered.
A great friend of many years. Played basketball together. In Explorer Scouts together, including survival hike. Spent many days on South Street goofing off by recording comedy stuff on his tape recorder. Double dating as teenagers, and remember his birthday party when kay and Buddy served us filet mignon as teenagers. I didn't even know what it was. Was close to his whole family, as Kay and I were special buddies also. He will be missed. R.I.P. Jess.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Jesse, he was a wonderful guy and I was lucky to see him at our 55th reunion last summer. May his memory be a blessing.
