While working at Lin-Van I had the pleasure to get to know the Linsted family. If memory serves, Mary Lou and Jim bowled together on a Thursday night couples league. Many times, over all the years, when I worked with Jim at the counter he would hum and sing a few words to a song. The words I have always remembered to this day were "You're the only star in my blue heaven." I looked those words up on Google today. It was an old song by Gene Autry. Now I know why Jim sang that short tune. The song was for Mary Lou. My sincerest condolences to the family.

Condolences on the loss of your mother. I remember when your family moved to Titusville sooo many years ago. I thought, how cool is it to actually own a bowling business?

My best to the entire family. We were fortunate to grow up in the very best times!

I knew Mary Lou most of my life. Bowling, of course, played a big role in how I knew her, but as the years went by and we went on our many bowling and then casino trips, I came to know her and love her for the wonderful, caring person she was. When Mary Lou, my mom Cecelia Clark, my sister Anne Mangel, and I got lost, her voice was the voice of calm. When we went for a midnight strawberry pie run, she was worried about lack of make-up even though she was naturally beautiful. On our travels we'd always look for a craft shop that sold cross stitch. I also liked to do that and we would compare our latest projects. And she loved to talk about her family, where they were now, and how well they were doing. I remember especially how she loved that trip to Wisconsin Dells where her granddaughter was working for the summer.

She was loved and will be missed.
