Obituary of Mary Lou Linsted

Mrs. Mary Lou Linsted, 87, of Southwoods Assisted Living Community, formerly of 11356 Hydetown Road, Titusville, passed away Saturday evening, January 26, 2019.

Mary Lou and her twin brother Harry were born on February 3, 1931 in Youngstown, OH; they were daughter and son of Walter W. and Ruth (Bossinger) Wessell.

 She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. 

Mary Lou married the love of her life, Jim Linsted, on March 19, 1949. He preceded her in death on October 27, 2010. They moved to Titusville in 1959 and built Lin-Van Lanes.  Mary Lou worked as a secretary for the Grason Abrasives Corporation in Titusville for over twenty years. 

Mary Lou is survived by three sons, James M. Linsted and wife Cindy of Livonia MI, Terry Linsted and wife Chris of Fairview, and Russell Linsted and wife Penny of Titusville; one brother Robert W. Wessell of Youngstown, OH; a sister-in-law Joanne Toy and husband Francis of Saxonburg, PA; seven grandchildren, Kelli Linsted and companion Michael of Phoenix, AZ, Jason Linsted of Erie, Melissa Polteraitis and husband Rimas of Livonia, MI, Brianna Kulacki and husband Konrad of Hudson, MA, Ashlee Linsted and companion Matt of Girard, Heather Schmader and husband Bradley, of Titusville, Meghan Linsted of Titusville; and seven great-grandchildren, Madison, Korryn, Gabe, MaKenna, Kennedy, Cooper and Simon. 

Mary Lou is preceded in death by her husband Jim;a sister Violet Scharnberg of Atlanta, GA; and twin brother, Harry Wessell of Sandusky, OH.

Friends may join the family for a celebration of life on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Hillhurst Bed & Breakfast, 701 N. Perry St., Titusville, PA 16354.
