Devon came to visit us after the birth of our first daughter. He surprised us that he was in town on a mission trip. After dinner I took this photo. He was beautifully awkward with our daughter as any teenager / young adult should be.

However he never let my girls feel awkward with him. Even though there were miles and States between us he kept a quiet and steady presence with my family. From helping that same child with her first grade paper Teddy Bear project to presents that peaked her interest during Christmas, he was always with us.
